We then turned to a push your luck card and dice game set in the wild west. In El Paso, you are trying to collect booty and get out of town before the sheriff catches up with you. When you leave town, you can cash in the booty or hang onto some of it for potentially higher rewards in the next town but, of course, if the sheriff catches up with you there, you lose any booty you still have. For a quick fun game, it was a bit fiddly, especially the free-wheeling grab a replacement card idea. I think I'd rather just deal cards from a single shuffled deck, as the separate discard decks needed turning back into draw decks too often. Anyway, when we got to the final town of El Paso, Steve looked like he was going to be able to grab enough booty to overtake me for the win but the sheriff turned up very early, confiscated the remaining booty, leaving me with just enough cash to win.
