Our next game was this neat stock market game, where you buy and sell shares in companies and then play cards to manipulate the prices. However, the interesting part is that the cards you get to play are shared with each of your neighbours and they might beat you to the cards you were hoping to play and alter the result you were expecting. Mark K benefitted from a huge profit he made early in the game and nobody was able to come anywhere near close to catching him. The other twist is that you need to donate some of your wealth to charity and the most miserly player automatically loses. This just happened to be me, so even though I ended up with the second highest wealth, I was relegated to last place. |
