As our earlier games finished at just about identical times, we decided to join up for a three on three game of Foosball. I had just won a good quality table in a competition and Nige reckoned he was "red hot" at the game and wanted to demonstrate his skills. The rest of us were a bit worried given the shoulder injury he had suffered last time we played Tumblin' Dice, but he was not to be persuaded. So the three Marks faced up to Nige, Steve and me.

Well, my team started pretty well and we took an early three goal lead but a timely change of formation by the Marks saw Mark G in Rooney form and they pulled it back to 6-6. It looked like it was all over when we scored three goals in succession but, not to be outdone, the Marks clawed it all the way back to 9-9 and the next goal would be the winner. The victory celebrations when we got that vital goal were a sight to behold and Captain Nige, who had remained uninjured throughout, was ecstatic that the "boys had done good."
