Second week running of this one for Guy and Mark K, but Nige hadn't played before so we agreed to finish the evening with this fun dice-rolling game. Mark was pleased to see that pestilence wasn't as evident this week but droughts certainly were. Guy got off to the perfect start and was soon up to six cities and eventually seven. I got a fourth city on my first turn but then couldn't roll workers for just about the rest of the game. Nige and Mark missed out on a fourth city on the first turn and, although they were able to get workers later on, they couldn't catch Guy. I decided we needed to end the game as quickly as possible if we were to have any chance so went all out for developments but it wasn't enough and Guy made his extra men count for a comfortable win.
