Having abandoned 1825, we decided to go for something a bit more fun and Phantoms is one of those games that we regularly turn to for just that result. This time Mark K and Steve both shot off to 3 quick wins and, as we were only playing until someone got five wins, it looked like a two horse race. Nige seemed to pick a team of Rumplstiltskins and try his best to trade for an even worse team. I started off weakly but managed to find a team part way through, following which I went for matches as quickly as I could. However, it was still down to Nige to force an unexpected win against Steve to leave me with a chance in a semi-final play-off with Steve. Although I managed to triumph in that game, my 3-1 victory left me with a weakened team to face Mark K. Game 1 was easily Mark's but after a nip-and-tuck second match I drew level in the series after extra time. The decider also went into sudden death but my team were dead on their feet (skates) by that stage and Mark K took a well deserved win.
