I’ve not played this old David Watts game for over 10 years but my memory of it was that it was quite fun with a nice screw your opponent aspect. Unfortunately, time has not been kind to this game as we didn’t have fun with this one. I still think the premise of the game is good, using the bridge voting to aid your and/or hamper others’ progress but Steve and Nige failed to get their boats past the first bridge before the car drivers were all voting the bridge down and they had no chance to recover from that. It also didn’t help that Mark G got his boat home first undamaged and this gave him a virtually insurmountable lead. As soon as this was beyond doubt, we opted to stop the game at that point. I think if we played it again we would know better than to allow that to happen but I don’t believe the game will ever get that chance.
