Tonight's evening of golden greats continued with another of my favourites, Ave Caesar. This classic game of chariot racing is always good fun, even when you're losing. As usual, those that shot in to pay homage to Caesar at the end of the first lap got blocked, but Mark G was especially unfortunate (it was his first experience of the game) as the others advised him to block the space immediatelt at the end of the pit lane, only for him to find himself then blocked in by me landing on the space immediately in front of him. Then, some blighter prevented him from being able to pay homage on the second lap and his goose was well and truly cooked - the waiting lions were licking their lips.
I ran a pretty good race but ended up with just 6 spaces to go and two 6's in my hand, so I had to wait for people to catch up. When they did, I got blocked by John and Mark G, but John was left with low cards and, although Mark G crossed the line ahead of me, it was the lions for him due to him not paying homage.
