With six of us this week, we split into two groups of three and my table started with a game newly nominated for this year's Spiel des Jahres, Imhotep. This is an excellent game of trying to move your building blocks onto the right monuments to score you most points. Very easy to pick up but with plenty to think about from the limited action choices you have. And it’s easy to mess with other people’s plans. Steve, John and I were very impressed and there ended up being just one point separating the three of us. However, Steve broke the tie between me and him by having three stones left in his quarry to my one.
