For our second game of the evening, the group of five tried a fun card-driven race game: The Hare & The Tortoise, which is published by iello games. At the start of each of the three races, you place two bets on the animal(s) you think will come in the top three and you are rewarded with points depending on their position. However, the movement rule for each animal is different and movement only happens once four cards of a particular animal or eight cards have been played. This was quite good fun but there is a bit of group think involved in the betting and the sheep seemed to be virtually unstoppable, particularly if more than one person bet on it. Andrew took his second win of the evening with this one.
