Nine of us this week and my group of five started with Carcassonne: South Seas, which is
the first in a series of games to port the game mechanisms of the original to other
geographic locations. The game is very similar but rather than completed features giving
you VPs directly, they give you goods which you later sell in combinations required by
the trade ships visiting the South Seas - and it is these ships that give you the bulk
of your points.
Everyone enjoyed this and I think I prefer it to the original - not sure if it is quite
as good as Hunters and Gatherers but it's close. Andrew won this one. |
