This week we had nine gamers ready for action so we split into groups of five and four and I taught most of the group of five Roll for the Galaxy. Guy was the only other one to have played before but that didn't seem very obvious from the amount of time he was taking to allocate his dice. I got a nice boost from my intial faction and homeworld with two extra dice in my cup. Andrew, however, was stuck like I was last game with two grey worlds, meaning produce and ship were useless to him at the start. This did mean that he was concentrating on developments and settling worlds and he was the one to fill his tableau to twelve tiles and trigger the game-end. However, I had snagged the six-point development that gave me an extra point for each development and this was enough to give me the win. |
