Continuing our night of older games, we settled next for this elegant set-collection game from Reiner Knizia.

The game came down to a decision for Phil as to whom he let win because he couldn't catch up enough to win himself. However, the piece he chose to take would determine whether Mark K, Nige or I would win. I had previously played my last turn, expecting him to choose the piece which improved his score the most and would push me across the finish line. I hadn't accounted for Mark's powers of persuasion though, as Phil chose the piece which benefitted Mark K the most. It did, however, allow Nige to follow-up with the classic one-liner: "Calling International Rescue", which in no way suggested that Phil was acting like Mark's puppet. Extremely funny!
