After Mykerinos, the first table turned to a Reiner Knizia card game about trading goods in the 17th Century. Merchants is the English edition of Handelsfursten, which is the version I have. Julia, Andrew and Steve were very close but Steve managed to pull off the win. Nicky did manage to get to double figures in gold, although that may well have been because she sunk too much gold into special cards.

Andrew and Nicky left at that point so Steve and Julia finished off with a two-player game of The Great Heartland Hauling Company, which is a game I played and really enjoyed the previous weekend. Anyway, Steve made his experience count to take a victory 48-43. Both rated the game a 7.
