We don't play many word games at the club but, when Nicky spied Bananagrams, she was keen to give it a go as our closing game. This is speed Scrabble with each player creating their own grid from the tiles in front of them. Once hey've done that everyone has to draw a new tile from the centre and fit that into their grid. Rinse and repeat until all the tiles in the middle are gone and whoever fits their last tile into their grid first calls a halt to the round. Providing the tiles in their grid all spell out valid words, they win the round; otherwise they're eliminated and the other players continue. We played until someone won two rounds, which might have been Andrew after the second round but he couldn't spell "BUOY" correctly. I eventually won that round but Andrew made no mistake on the third round and claimed his second win of the night. Good fun.
