The remaining four went exploring the Mayan calendar in Tzolkin, with Nige and Nicky not having played before. After two games, I still don't know what you need to concentrate on to do well in the game. I'm also not sure whether gaining extra workers is much of an advantage. Nige's strategy of staying close to zero or negative points for three quarters of the game probably wasn't too good a route to take, although he did utilise his monument to very good effect at the end. Mark K and Nicky were battling each other up the temples and it was good to see Nicky time things perfectly to get to the top of the brown temple to stop Mark K getting there. Nicky and I were both utilising the crystal skull dial to grab valuable points along the way and it was looking pretty close until the end point scoring, where Nicky's temple points were the critical factor in pushing her ahead for her first win at the club. And a well-fought win, it was too.
