It's been a while since I've played this game and it's never made an appearance at the club before now. This is another motor racing game like Formula De and a number of others, but what sets this one apart is a sand timer. Movement is determined by rolling up to three dice and choosing whether to use the numbers displayed on the top or bottom face of each die. Care needs to be taken not to exceed the speed limits in the bends and your whole move has to be completed before the sands of time run out, otherwise you pick up a time penalty. Too many penalties mean you have to make a pit stop or, worse, are out of the race. Racing against the timer gets the adrenalin pumping which is very appropriate for a racing game.

Early on, the time constraint caused a few of us to panic and make sub-optimal moves. John, in particular, drove a very conservative race. I spun off on one corner when I forgot about the speed limit, much to the amusement of everyone else. Nige was well in contention until he was forced into the pits after the second lap. Ian started steadily but raced into contention on the final lap and, amazingly, I nearly caught up despite my earlier mishap. However, Mark K remained very calm and collected throughout and drove a very professional race, with his only problem being the possibility of overshooting the final corner and the resulting flag forcing him out of the race. It didn't happen and he eased over the line comfortably to take the podium in first place.
