There were seven of us this week and no Nige, so what better time to play a seven player co-operative game. The knights got off to a pretty good start, although there were, as expected, lots of suggestions about suspicious play and who the traitor might be. I was convinced it was either Mark K or Guy, although Andrew was keeping very quiet (perhaps seeking to fly under the radar). As we approached the end, it was looking very tight and we needed to pin down the traitor to prevent two white swords turning black. Mark K was the choice of prime suspect. Wrong! Then, although I was sure it had to be Guy, the others decided Andrew's coy demeanour was more likely to mean it was him. Wrong. Well, the knights resigned themselves to the fact that they were going to lose but could console themselves as it looked probable that there wasn't actually a traitor. Wrong! Perplexed by the whole proceedings, we all turned over our loyalty cards only to discover I was the traitor all along. How on earth did that happen? |
