After saving the Multiverse, Mark G, Steve and I had a go at Ascension, which Mark had not played before but was keen to give it a go. This is a slightly refined deck-building game like Dominion, where you use your cards to acquire heroes and constructs to help you defeat monsters. Defeating monsters gives you victory points during the game, while the hero and construct cards also give you points at the end. Easier to set-up and play than Dominion, it still scratches the same itch and we all enjoyed it especially Mark G, who immediately wanted to buy a copy. My card engine didn't seem to get going at all in this game while Mark G managed to get everything working like a well-oiled machine and he took a very comfortable win.
