With a bit of time left on our table, Mark K and I introduced the other two to Traders of Carthage, a (supposedly) quick set-collection card game. However, this took us around 90 minutes to conclude, by which time I was doing everything to bring the game to an end. Mark W gained a very healthy lead early on and it seemed like no-one was going to catch him. Mark K had a good try but it wasn't enough. Nige and I just never had the cards available to us on out turns to make any real progress so it was a pretty frustrating game for each of us. Traders of Carthage is a nice, clever game but only if it doesn't outstay its welcome. Hopefully next time, it will play out in a much shorter time.
