Having played a learning game of Vinhos last week, four of us were keen to fit in a complete game this time. Nige and Mark K went down the route of establishing four estates as soon as possible and Nige went for an early press release to get the most value from the managers. Mark G and I went down the quality wine route and I didn't establish any more estates until after the first wine fair. However, I did enough to be able to win the first and second fairs. Mark K was the first to export wine and this forced us to do likewise to reduce the bonuses he would pick up. I missed out on the best end-game manager bonuses as Nige and Mark K grabbed these before I had chance, and Mark K's success at the final wine fair was enough to take a good win.

There is a lot going on in Vinhos and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We finished in just over three hours which didn't feel too bad and it will be interesting to see how we approach it next time now we know how the end-game plays out. An excellent game.
