This week, five of us ventured into the Temple of Chac in the fun treasure hunting game, The Adventurers. Early on, Mark G, Mark K and Nige spent time in the Walls Room decrypting glyphs and Mark K narrowly escaped a squishing as the walls closed in rather quickly. Guy and I went into the boulder tunnel to see what we could find in its recesses. I was the more successful as Guy was a bit distracted by the noise of the fast approaching oversized pebble. It soon became obvious we were not going to out run it so we both went diving into the underground river. Meanwhile, the other three were putting their glyph knowledge to good use in the lava room and sadly picking up treasure rather than plunging to their doom. After Nige had mostly wrecked the rickety bridge as he crossed it, Mark G was forced to rush to the end of the tunnel to try and grasp the most valuable treasure from its recess but his dice-rolling skill for once deserted him and he had to leave empty handed. Mark K joined us in the water, diving for more treasure and, amazingly, we all succeeded in hauling ourselves out before being swept over the waterfall into the bottomless pit. So it was, we all emerged from the temple alive with Guy proving that his middle name is in fact Indiana to take the win. Good fun.
