To finish off, we joined the groups together for a 7-player game of the excellent 7 Wonders. This time, I was sat next to Mark G so I knew I was never going to win militarily and both me and Mark K, who was my other neighbour, avoided red cards the whole game. Despite this, Mark G still went heavily into military which forced Guy and Nige to escalate matters (and distract them from other areas). Mark K and I both concentrated on science points with Mark K securing 47 points from that area alone. Nige and Steve were raking in points from blue victory point buildings while Mark W was the only one of us who seemed to benefit from the guilds in the third age. It ended up being very tight and my stash of 27 coins was a big help in giving me victory by a single point.
