There were six of us tonight so we started with a bit of three on three action playing Strand Cup, the beach volleyball game. It was the power of of Nige, Mark K and Mark G against the athleticism of Steve, Mark W and Garry. Played as a not-too-serious game, this is quite a bit of fun. I'm not sure the intra-team communication was terribly slick and the balls in our game must have been balloons because they seemed to hang in the air for an eternity. However, points always seemed to end up being decided by a dice roll sending the ball into the net. Mark W was particularly adept at this feat, with Mark K also leaving a bit to be desired with his die-rolling on the other team. Eventually, brute force overcame grace and style with Nige and the two Marks running out 7-4 winners.
