This was our second attempt at BSG, this time with six players. As we were much more familiar with the game, we managed to get through it in just over 2 hours, which seemed reasonable. However, there is still too much downtime with six players and four seems about right. It took us three jumps to get past halfway to Kobol and the distribution of the second loyalty card. I was revealed as a sympathiser but as we had managed to push our food dial just into the red sector, I wasn't a cylon. I got marched to the brig as a sympathiser but was destined to go there anyway as my character was Boomer. Luckily, I didn't have to stay incarcerated for very long. Things started to get tense when we had a swarm of raiders bearing down on five civilian ships. We managed to move two of these heavily populated ships away just in time, although it may have been trickier if a cylon or two had revealed before we managed to jump away. Eventually, we made it all the way to Earth with loads of resources to spare (6 population, 7 morale, 4 food, 6 fuel) and the incompetent cylons were defeated. Mark K and Mark G turned out to be the bad guys: Mark K from the beginning and Mark G from halfway. The rest of us rejoiced in a triumph for humanity, with even Baltar (Nige) uncharacteristically aiding the cause.
