We finished of with Sopwith, the aerial combat game, which I have never played before. The idea is simple - you control a plane which you direct around the map shooting at opponents while avoiding clouds and being shot yourself. You have limited ammunition and can take only a certain amount of damage before your plane crashes from the sky. Last one alive wins.

I decided just to plunge straight in and fight anyone in sight, a strategy that failed dramatically as I was quickly eliminated. However, I managed to do enough damage to Mark K and Mark G's planes that they soon followed. John had to leave before the end so I took over his position and managed to avoid the dogfight between Ben and Nige for a couple of turns while their damage piled up. In the end Nige was forced to land for extra ammunition and I managed to guide John's plane to shoot him out of the sky just as he was taking off again.

I quite liked the idea behind this game, but I hated the fiddliness of the components - the screens were thin card and kept falling over and the ammo and damage markers were also too flimsy for the purpose. This affected my overall rating, although I enjoyed the game mechanism itself.
