Our second game of the night was new to everybody except me. Auf Teufel komm raus is a push your luck, betting game where you are trying to accumulate 1600 in money by betting on how much treasure players can pull out of the devil's cauldron without getting burned. Once the bets are placed, everyone gets a turn in taking treasure tokens from the fire - most of these show an amount of treasure but some show a devil symbol which means you immediately fail. If at least one player retrieves as much treasure as you have bet on, you get the same amount back as a reward, otherwise you lose your bet. There are bonuses for having drawn the most tokens out of the fire and the most value in tokens out of the fire and players accumulate money until someone hits the 1600 target - most money at that point winning.

This was an ok game of this type but not one that beats out the likes of Can't Stop. There was one funny moment when Mark K and Mark G had made bets of 210 and 200 respectively and it was looking very unlikely that they would get paid out with Mark G being the last to play and no-one having reached the target. However, Mark G showed his ninja skills not only getting the total he needed but also getting it exactly so that Mark K's bet failed. Needless to say, Mark G went on to win the game.
