The table of six ended the evening with a clever Japanese micro-game, Kobayakawa, which is a poker-like betting game. I really like the way the game boils each round down to two decisions: Change your card or the one in the middle and then bet a coin (two in the final round) or not. And that's it but the judgement needed in watching what others do and deducing whether it is worth betting or not is very nice. Despite Mark G winning the final round, John managed to hold him off for the win. |
