This week, the number of gamers was almost equalled by the number of copies of Bruges in evidence. Well, maybe not but there were three copies of Bruges and seven players. Four of us decided we had to give the newest Stefan Feld game a try. This time, although dice do feature, the game is principally a card game where the cards can be used in six possible ways. And with 165 unique cards, you're always struggling to work out the best way to utilise your hand of five cards. Nige managed to get a powerful combination of cards laid down in front of him and was raking in the points on each round. We weren't surprised, therefore, to find him winning comfortably. Looking back, it is the randomness of the cards you get (or don't get) that moves this down a notch for me in comparison with Rialto but it's still a very good game and plays pretty quickly.
